Lisa Marie Presley has 'medical emergency' as bitter custody trial with ex Michael Lockwood is delayed

LISA Marie Presley has had her bitter custody trial with ex Michael Lockwood delayed due to a "medical emergency" – four months after she lost her son to suicide, The Sun can exclusively reveal.

Elvis Presley's daughter, 52, who shares twin girls, Finley and Harper, 11, with the guitarist, was due in court in LA on Monday but is now ordered to come-face-to-face with her ex again this Friday.

The Sun understands the private trial, which has had previous delays, is now coming to a close and a decision is set to be made regarding custody of the girls within weeks.

Court documents read: "The matter is not called for hearing. Counsel for Petitioner represents that Petitioner cannot appear this date due to a medical emergency," with no further details given.

The Sun has reached out to Lisa Marie's rep for comment.

The singer's long-running and nasty court war with the 59-year-old began when she filed for divorce back in 2016 after ten years of marriage.

Her ex Michael insists he has been subject to “hyper-aggressive litigation” from his estranged wife’s legal team and also “hearings spurred by baseless salacious allegations."

In court papers, he claimed Lisa Marie attempted to alienate him from the couple's daughters after their split – and blamed her association with the Church of Scientology.

He referenced the practice called "fair gaming," which is taught by Scientologists who allegedly want to take down any of its "perceived enemies," according to court filings.

Michael hired Joseph Yanny, partner of LA-based Yanny & Smith, a powerhouse attorney who represented the Church of Scientology for years before severing ties.

He also reportedly called one of the controversial religion's most famous defectors, Leah Remini, as a witness.

The court setback comes after Lisa Marie's son Benjamin Keough died from a self-inflicted gun shot wound,

He took his own life during a party for his girlfriend’s birthday at his mother’s Calabasas home on July 12.

An autopsy showed he had cocaine and alcohol in his system at the time of his tragic death – and had previously tried to commit suicide after struggling with depression.

Ben’s girlfriend, Diana Pinto, went to his bedroom to check on him during the party.

She was able to open the locked door with a bobby pin and entered the bathroom to find Ben unresponsive on the floor with an apparent gun-shot wound.

Authorities were contacted and he was pronounced dead without any medical intervention.

According to the report, Ben had a “history of depression” and was “known to abuse alcohol and use illicit drugs, cocaine.”

A rep for Lisa said in a statement that she was "completely heartbroken, inconsolable and beyond devastated" after his death in July.

He added: "She adored that boy. He was the love of her life."

Benjamin was buried at Graceland alongside his famous grandfather.

The official Facebook page for Graceland, Elvis’ home in Memphis, TN, revealed he has been laid to rest in its Meditation Garden. The Sun reached out to Lisa's rep for comment on the medical emergency.
