Lorraine Kelly celebrates lookalike mums 81st birthday as she shares rare snap

Lorraine Kelly sweetly celebrated her mother's 81st birthday on Thursday's episode of Lorraine and shared a rare snap.

During the latest episode, Lorraine, 62, made a special announcement as she celebrated her mum's incredible milestone.

The presenter said: "Now, I'd really like to wish a very happy birthday to my mum, I know she's watching because she watches every day."

To which a picture then popped up of Lorraine and her mother, she continued: "There she is! I can't believe I'm going to tell everybody, she's 81! It's ridiculous, it really really is…"

Lorraine also took to Instagram to post a sweet snap of her mother, writing: "Happy birthday to my lovely mum – can’t believe she’s 81!!"

The star's 500K followers were quick to react to the snap as one person said: "Beautiful.. daughter like mother."

A different account put: "Ah Lorraine you look so like her. Bless er."

Another follower said: "She looks amazing!! Happy birthday xx."

While another person added: "Your mum looks fantastic and doesn’t look 81 x."

It comes after George Clooney left Lorraine "bright red" on Wednesday's episode of Lorraine as the interview took a cheeky turn.

Lorraine spoke to George, 61, and Julia Roberts, who play divorced parents David and Georgia Cotton in movie Ticket To Paradise, which sees them travel to Bali to stop their on-screen daughter, Lily (Kaitlyn Dever), from marrying Gede.

Talking about the film, Lorraine asked the two Hollywood stars, who are best friends in real life, about a "wee kissing scene" they had to do.

To which George started laughing as he repeated: "A wee kissing scene? That’s a strange phrase though, 'a wee kissing scene'. I mean what time is this show on?"

Lorraine was left giggling as she covered her mouth while Julia pointed out: "You cheeks are so pink now!"

To which the host admitted: "I have gone red, I have actually gone bright red, but that’s okay. I’m being very calm and very cool."

With Julia adding: "It's hard to be like that in front of George Clooney, isn't it?"

To which George responded: "I don't want to get into it but I was a two-time sexiest man alive" as Lorraine quipped: "They must’ve stopped you being in it, because it isn't fair!"

With George joking: "Well they had to get like pretty boy Pitt, [he] had to get in a couple of times. He runs a good campaign."
