Love Island recap: Michael declares feelings for Amber as she dates newbie Greg
Things heated up in the Love Island villa as three new bombshells made their entrance, and took three of our faves on dates.
But while Chris Taylor, Ovie Soko and Amber Gill all headed off to meet the newcomers, Michael Griffiths was sat questioning his life choices.
Reliving the moment of saying goodbye to his gal Joanna Chimonides, he suddenly realised she might no longer be waiting for him on the outside.
With this, the firefighter announced he still has feelings for his ex, Amber, which might be problematic after her successful date with new boy Greg O’Shea.
Amber goes on date with new boy Greg
After being unlucky in love it seems Amber might be back in the game as she was asked to go on a date with the newcomer Greg.
And the girl was excited.
Heading up to the Hideaway, the 21-year-old went and met her potential new man, and it looks like they had a blast.
Talking to the girls after sipping on prosecco with the professional rugby player, the model appeared to be pretty smitten with the new islander.
‘Gregg is super charming,’ she spilled to her pal Molly-Mae Hague: ‘He gets the banter and he seems quite funny as well.’
Beaming from ear to ear, she continued: ‘He’s nice, and I love that accent, and he can take the banter. I’m just savage in general and he was just laughing.’
And it seems as though the feelings are mutual, as Greg told the boys: ‘She is gorgeous, I didn’t realise how gorgeous she is, she is beautiful.
‘Good craic as well, she can have a laugh.’
He later spoke about the date, adding: ‘It went a lot better than I thought it would.’
Ovie cracks on with India – and Chris is not happy
India Reynolds has barely been in the villa for a hot 10 seconds and she already has two men fighting over her.
After going on a date with Chris – and finding him extremely funny – it seems she has now cast her attention over to Ovie, leaving Chris more than disappointed.
The pair could be seen frolicking around in the pool together, while the Business Development Manager watched on and called the scenes something out of a horror movie.
Chatting to Belle, the 28-year-old expressed how sad he was to watch her with another boy.
And while Chris was feeling insecure, because Ovie is a ‘sexy b*****d,’ the professional basketball player still believes his rival has the upper hand after going on a date with the newbie.
The pair continued to battle it out for the girl, and all we have to say is may the best boy win.
Curtis and Maura have late night ‘grinding’ session
Curtis Pritchard and Maura Higgins took their relationship to new heights as they had a late-night ‘grinding’ session on the day beds.
Expressing that he was ‘not expecting that,’ the professional dancer seemed pretty pleased with himself, and told his lad pals all about it.
Speaking with Chris and Tommy Fury in the bedroom he teased details from his night of passion, saying: ‘There may have been a lot of grinding.’
The 23-year-old continued in the Beach Hut: ‘Last night, nothing happened in that way, but Maura is a girl who knows what she wants and knows what she is doing.
‘There was a bit of thrusting and it was hot.’
And while Curtis was left processing the night before, Maura was on her way to make her man jealous by accepting to go on a date with newbie Greg.
‘She’s [Maura] the only other Irish person in here, so it would be nice to get a friendship straight off the bat,’ he told the boys beforehand.
Michael says he still has feelings for Amber
After watching his ex crack on with Greg, it seems Michael is getting all the FOMO and has realised he still has feelings for Amber.
Well, that’s what he says anyway – but fans are convinced the self proclaimed ‘hero’ is just playing games.
‘Now Joanna’s gone it’s given me time to think about things and I realise I do like Amber,’ he confessed.
‘I feel like I need to do myself a favour and let her know.’
After admitting his intentions, Jordan Hames said: ‘I think if you did go back there, things would be so different.’
Ovie also gives Michael some advice over his feelings, saying: ‘Don’t let your pride hurt you. Don’t fight yourself.’
But it seems Michael wants to take back the model as he struts on over to her, asking Greg: ‘Do you mind if I jump in and steal Amber for a bit?’
But will she take him back? Love Island continues on ITV2 at 9pm.
