Love Islands Adam Collard suppressing huge ego, says body language expert

Adam Collard has matured after "suppressing his huge ego" since his first stint in the Love Island villa, as a body language expert has said.

The 26 year old was first on the hit ITV dating programme back in 2018, but experienced a rough time after his head was turned from Rosie Williams to bombshell Zara McDermott – a behaviour that sparked a warning from Women's Aid.

Now, it appears he's changed and is currently going strong with Paige Thorne, 24, as the pair have even decided to be exclusive with each other.

Speaking on behalf of MyBettingSites, body language expert Darren Stanton, told OK! that Adam arrived into the villa as a "bad boy", but has actually become "more mature" since his first time on the show.

"He has suppressed parts of the huge ego he previously had after realising it’s prevented him from finding a partner. Now, we see him invested in Paige and wanting to show her that he is committed to her," he explained.

Darren went on to share the subtle signs that show Adam is serious about his romance with the Welsh beauty as he continued: “Adam often displays prolonged eye gazing – a prerequisite for reciprocal liking – where he holds his eye contact with Paige in an attempt to build a level of trust and rapport with her.

"When he speaks to Paige about wanting a future together, his voice tone is consistent, there are no pitch changes or breaks, which is a usual sign of being deceptive or an emotional shift."

"It shows that Adam, in his approach this year, he is speaking from the heart and being genuine," he added.

Despite this, fans have recently spotted a massive clue suggesting that Adam could potentially be using Paige in a bid to get to the final and win the £50,000 prize at the end.

After sharing a snap of the couple going exclusive on Adam's Instagram page, one person commented: "What a player, ticket to the final secured".

The person controlling his social media account currently replied: "you've got to be in it to win it," followed by a dice emoji.

However, the person soon returned to add: "well aye sue with your fake account," with a clown face emoji.

Fans immediately flocked to the comments section as well as Twitter to voice their thoughts as one person wrote: "that just proves it’s all a game [crying with laughter emoji #gameplayerof2022 #wantstheattention

"I will be interested to see how long they do last in the real world though," with a thinking emoji.

While another shared: "Adam’s insta handler not even denying he’s using Paige to get to the final WOW! How can anyone support him? #LoveIsland #player," followed by three crying with laughter emojis.
