Love Island's Tommy Fury tries to cut ice with a butter knife – internet reacts
Tommy Fury definitely isn’t the sharpest tool in the drawer, and neither is the knives he uses after he attempts to cut ice with a butter knife.
The Love Island star left viewers dumbstruck as he decided to solve a problem involving a large block of ice, by trying to break it in two with kitchen utensils.
In a previously unaired clip on Unseen Bits, Tommy was seen struggling by himself in the kitchen after becoming unable to get a large chunk of ice in his water bottle.
After brute strength couldn’t do it, the boxer tried whacking it with a fork but that didn’t seem to work.
He then pulled out a butter knife and thought that might do it, but again no luck.
The struggle was definitely real – and viewers were left cracking up at his desperate attempts to get the block of ice whittled down.
Eventually, he was seen holding his hands on his hips in frustration before he gave up completely.
Viewers on the other hand, couldn’t help but marvel at the hilarious moment.
This wasn’t one of the only slip-ups Tommy made on tonight’s episode, and over the course of the series it’s become obvious he’s not the most adept to living by himself.
After learning how to make a cup of peppermint tea last week, this week he discovered the wonders of decaf coffee, after asking his housemates what the difference was.
He later got an education from Molly-Mae over what withdrawal symptoms meant, after thinking it had something to do with pregnancy.
You’ve got to give him an A for effort though.
Meanwhile, new boy Tom left Tommy reeling by revealing the results of the most recent Anthony Joshua fight.
Pretty mindblowing week all round for the 20-year-old boxer then, all things considered.
Love Island continues nightly at 9pm on ITV2.
