The second half of Lucifer’s fifth season could be just round the corner as production continues on the sixth and final instalment.
As fans prepare for Lucifer Morningstar (played by Tom Ellis) and co.’s final stint on Netflix, the upcoming episodes are set to bring back a number of familiar faces.
Among them is Lucifer’s first love and the world’s first woman, Eve (Inbar Lavi), who played havoc with the gang’s feelings in the fourth season.
In Netflix’s revived series, Eve tracked down the devil in his nightclub on Earth and reignited their passionate romance, breaking the heart of his best friend Mazikeen (Lesley-Ann Brandt) in the process.
While it isn’t known when or for how long, newcomer and firm favourite Inbar Lavi has been confirmed to be reprising her role sometime during the final sixteen episodes.
The news was revealed by showrunners Ildy Modrovich and Joe Henderson, who teased Eve’s return during a chat with Entertainment Weekly.
They said: “We are so excited to have Inbar back. Last we saw her, Eve broke Maze’s heart.
“Soooo a reunion between our favourite demon and the original sinner should go smoothly, right?”
Now, a recent post on Lavi’s Instagram story has sparked more rumours around Eve’s role in the upcoming series.
As the cast and crew are well into filming for season six, it’s fair to assume Lavi will play a pivotal part in Lucifer’s last season.
However, after her stunning debut in season four, there’s a chance she could be reintroduced earlier in response to overwhelming fan demand.
Her latest post may also feature a cheeky teaser to what could lie ahead in Eve’s future.

Looking as if she had just returned from an idyllic summer vacation in the Garden of Eden, Lavi showcased part of Eve’s new wardrobe which includes a patterned dress and white top.
The Israeli star also adorned herself with some animated devil horns and asked her followers ‘Hell: Yah/Nah?’ with an Instagram poll.
Lavi’s devilish references in her latest social media post could contain a subtle spoiler for the conclusion to Eve’s storyline in season six.
Now Hell has once again been left unguarded after Lucifer returned to visit Chloe Decker (Lauren German), someone else may need to volunteer to take over the throne.
Although the devil’s brother Amenadiel (D. B. Woodside) briefly took over torturing duties, he, too, departed the underworld to look after Linda (Rachel Harris) and their new baby, Charlie.
Some viewers have singled out Lucifer’s twin Michael as a potential candidate, but could the ‘Original Sinner’, Eve, be more suited to the position?
Furthermore, as Eve is still attracted to Lucifer, his devious twin brother could be a perfect romantic partner for her – if she doesn’t work things out with Mazikeen, that is.
Now God (Dennis Haysbert) has entered the scene, it’s hoped all will be revealed soon and Lucifer can finally get back to enjoying his extended vacation with Chloe.
