The Hawaii Five-0 star made his stunning return to CBS as an LAPD detective helping out the NCIS team during one of their most harrowing cases to date. After his impressive performance, NCIS Los Angeles fans took to Twitter to demand his return as a more permanent fixture to the cast.

Sean guest starred in the second episode of the NCIS spin-off’s 13th season, with no confirmation of his return so far.

However, reception to his character may have been positive enough to warrant his return at some point in the coming weeks.

Several viewers took to social media to demand he be made a full member of NCIS: Los Angeles’ main cast on Sunday night.

One fan named Leslie tweeted: @ChristopherSean Great job on @NCISLA! Please add him to the cast!”

Nievecitas said: “@ChristopherSean CONGRATS, great seeing you on my TV tonight… more please!”

“So happy for Christopher and his much deserved ongoing success,” a fan named Mel wrote.

Others also noted his playing against type in the latest episode after portraying the dangerous fugitive Gabriel Waincroft for three years on Hawaii Five-0.

Twitter user TV Rants joked: “Finally, Christopher Sean not playing a bad guy in a CBS show?”

There’s certainly room in NCIS: LA’s current cast if showrunner R. Scott Gemmill decides to bring Sean back for more.

Last season saw the departure of two major players from the series, Nell Jones (played by Renée Felice Smith) and Eric Beale (Barrett Foa).

New agent Devin Roundtree (Caleb Castille) is picking up the slack, but it wouldn’t hurt to have another pair of hands on deck as the team goes up against Russian agents in season 13.

Sean was clearly excited to join the NCIS cast for their latest case.

He tweeted “20 minutes till show time!!” just before the new episode rolled out on CBS.

His enthusiasm for the role could indicate he’s ready to return to the world of murder and espionage, this time on the side of good.

Sean’s Hawaii Five-0 could also make Jack Tanaka an ideal character to crossover to fellow spin-off NCIS: Hawaii if the detective decides to take a break from the west coast.

Filming for NCIS will coincide with the release of the current season, so the audience response could secure Tanaka’s return at some point in the coming weeks.

Elsewhere, Sean’s TV career has skyrocketed recently after starring in some of the most popular series of the past year.

The Hawaii Five-0 alum can currently be seen in a main role in the most recent season of Netflix’s You, and he also lent his voice to an episode of Star Wars Visions on Disney+.

He will also be joining the DC Universe by voicing Dick Grayson/Nightwing in the hotly anticipated new video game Gotham Nights, coming in 2022.

NCIS: Los Angeles season 13 continues Sundays on CBS.
