Riverdale season 6 release time: When does the new series air?
Riverdale came to an explosive finish last month with the lives of two vital characters in mortal peril. The Netflix and The CW drama is far from over though with series six set to start with the mysterious five-episode event entitled Rivervale. There will be another change on the horizon as Riverdale’s scheduling has been altered ahead of the new episodes.

When does the new series of Riverdale air?
For the past five seasons, the schedule for Riverdale has gone unchanged.
Upon the teen drama’s return each time, the show has aired every Wednesday night on the American network The CW.
When the release dates did come around, the latest instalments aired at 8pm ET (Eastern Time) and 7pm CT (Central Time).
But with season six ready to begin, this will no longer be the case.

Instead, Riverdale will air every Tuesday night on The CW, kicking off on Tuesday, November 16.
What’s more, is that the time has also changed for season six.
Riverdale is going to start one hour later than the norm so will make its debut at 9pm ET and 8pm CT.
As always, it is a slightly different story for those living in the UK.
The CW isn’t available in the UK but Riverdale is shown via Netflix.
Up until now, the streaming service would release the latest episodes a day after The CW at 8am GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) every Thursday.
But with the Riverdale schedule shaken up Stateside, this has, in turn, affected the UK release date.
Riverdale season six will be available to watch on Netflix every Wednesday morning from 8am.

Riverdale schedule shake-up: When does Riverdale season 6 start? [RELEASE DATE]
An official reason as to why the day and time has changed hasn’t been given.
But it could be to do with the network wanting to have the eighth season of The Flash air just before Riverdale.
This could be a bid to help viewing figures by having these shows released back-to-back, encouraging viewers to stay on The CW for longer.
It may also have something to do with the upcoming Rivervale event.
Few details have come out on what Rivervale is about but going by the trailer, it looks like the first five episodes are going to explore the supernatural.
Riverdale has always danced with out-of-this-world themes but now the show will be going all out, as Cheryl Blossom (played by Madelaine Petsch) uses her newfound powers to curse some members of the Core Four.
Kiernan Shipka will be making an appearance as well as Sabrina Spellman from the now cancelled Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.
Riverdale season 6 will start at 9pm ET/8pm CT on Tuesday, November 16, on The CW. The series will begin in the UK on Wednesday, November 17, on Netflix.
