With AJ Odudu now out of the competition, Rose Ayling-Ellis and Jogn Whaite will be the only two contestants competing for the coveted trophy on Saturday night. Both could make history if they win Strictly Come Dancing but new data suggests John will have a runaway victory as the public get behind him. Could Giovanni Pernice miss out on the trophy once again?

Rose and John will be performing three routines on Saturday evening, a judge’s pick, couple’s choice and Showdance.

The EastEnders actress will be performing their Couple’s Choice but it’s not know what the judge’s have chosen for her.

Meanwhile, John and Johannes Radebe will be performing their Pirates of the Caribbean inspired Paso Doble.

They will also take on the Rumba and a Showdance, choreography by Jason Gilkison.

For weeks, John and Johannes have been outsiders with the bookies to win but new data from Mediaworks has shown they are favourite to win with the public.

The Mediaworks team have once again tracked the social media sentiment scores of the finalists to see who is most in favour with the viewers.

Social sentiment analysis shows if contestants are being discussed in a positive or negative way on social media.

It uses AI technology to analyse the most recent 1,000 tweets relating to the celebrities and their dance partners.

Each celebrity is then award a score based on the new tweets which are generated.

In the past week, John’s sentiment score has urged as he has gained a mount of support going into the final.

He has scored 3.0 points going into the final after gaining 11.641 followers since December 10.

Meanwhile, Rose’s sentiment score has remained consistent around the 1.0 mark.

She has gained 25,723 new followers since December 10, which is a growth of 6.84 percent.

Although Rose may have gained a bigger following in the past week, it seems John has had the nation talking.

Could he make history as the first celebrity to win in a same-sex partnership?

While John may have gained favour with the public, bookies are certain Rose will win.

Following the withdrawal of AJ and Kai from Saturday night’s showdown, it’s Rose and Gio who are fancied to lift the Glitterball trophy at just 1/9, with John and Johannes the 7/1 outsiders.

Jessica O’Reilly of Ladbrokes said: “It’s not over until the fat lady sings, but she’s certainly warming up in Elstree and the odds firmly suggest Rose and Gio will be crowned Strictly champions.”

Strictly Come Dancing: The Final airs Saturday on BBC One at 7.10pm.
