The Games Max George suffers injury during mens 400m on opening episode
The Games viewers were left concerned for Max George on Monday's opening episode as he suffered an injury during the men's 400m.
The new series sees 12 super-fit celebs compete in sporting challenges, including in an athletics arena, swimming pool, gymnasium and velodrome.
At the end of the episode, it saw the men's 400m where Max finished in last place and Wes Nelson won as the commentator explained: "At the back, limping over the line carrying an injury, Max George."
It then showed Max, 33, clutching his leg as some of his co-stars supported him following the race.
Back in the studio, host Holly Willoughby also gave an update as she said: "Wow, that was incredibly exciting there but it did look like Max has picked up some sort of injury, we'll have an update on that on tomorrow's show."
Holly added: "I hope he's alright, a fantastic finish, a fantastic race."
Viewers were also left worried for Max at home as one concerned fan tweeted: "Is max okay? #thegames," with a sad emoji.
A different account put: "Max #TheGames," followed with upset emojis.
Another worried follower wrote: "Hope Max is OK. #TheGames."
While a different viewer added: "Hope Max is okay #thegames" followed with heart emojis.
OK! has contacted ITV for further comment.
