This Morning fans rage as Ruth Langsford ruins Spin to Win after hand gets stuck

Ruth Langsford suffered an awkward blunder on Friday's This Morning after her hand got jammed in the Spin to Win machine.

Along with her hubby Eamonn Holmes, Ruth took over from Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, presenting the illustrious competition segment.

As one caller got the password right – "Relight My Fire" – Ruth was excited to Spin the Wheel for the first time in weeks.

Unfortunately, things went downhill when her hand got caught on the bright pink arrow, and the wheel shuddered slowly around the cog.

Normally, Phil spins the wheel from the opposite side of the studio, meaning there's no chance of a run-in with the pink arrow.

Admitting that she had messed up, Ruth conceded: "It's still going around."

Unfortunately, after the dodgy spin, the caller ended up with a low sum of £750, leaving viewers outraged.

Looking bashful, Ruth remarked: "It's not the highest…"

Taking to Twitter, viewers demanded a re-spin, accusing Ruth of ruining the game after she got her hand stuck on the arrow.

One said: "I'd demand a re-spin! That was useless!"

A second added: "@RuthieeL messed up that #spintowin there. Lynn should demand a re-spin #ThisMorning."

"Ruth almost broke the wheel," chimed a third.

And a fourth exclaimed: "Does spin to win ever go to plan. They should be allowed a re-spin. They should always spin it the opposite side from the arrow."
