Celebrity MasterChef has just started airing on BBC One and the cooking competition is as hot as ever. Across 18 episodes, the stars will go head to head in a series of heats to impress the judges with their dishes. Express.co.uk has all you need to know about when the episodes are on.

Is Celebrity MasterChef on tonight?

Celebrity MasterChef kicked off with another series in August and a total of 20 contestants will have the chance to show off their skills.

The first heat saw Blue star Duncan James, musician Bez, actresses Su Pollard and Rita Simons and comedian Munya Chawawa don their aprons.

There will be a total of four heats which will decide the contestants making it through to the semi-final.

MasterChef is not on every weekday – it only airs on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays at 9pm.

If fans miss the live episodes, they are able to catch up via the BBC iPlayer after they have aired.

With this in mind, the next episode will air on Friday, August 13 in its usual time slot.

The episode synopsis says: “The three remaining celebrities must cook a faultless two-course meal that will not only be judged by John Torode and Gregg Wallace.

“But also three former Celebrity MasterChef champions – last year’s winner, broadcaster and internet personality Riyadh Khalaf, former Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt and TV presenter Angellica Bell.”

Duncan James, Bez and Su Pollard will be going head to head after Eastenders actress Rita Simons was knocked out of the last round.

The following week will move on to heat two, which features journalist Gavin Esler, actress Michelle Collins and Strictly Come Dancing professional Johannes Radebe.

Also taking part in the second heat is Paralympian Kadeena Cox and Love Island’s Kem Cetinay.

The five competitors will have to fight for their place in the semi-final.

Moving on to heat three, The Repair Shop’s Will Kirk will go up against actress Melissa Johns and TV star Katie Price.

TV presenter Joe Swash and former footballer Dion Dublin will also go in for the win.

The final heat includes Patrick Grant from The Great British Sewing Bee and reality star Megan McKenna.

Penny Lancaster, Mel Sykes and comedian Nabil Abdulrashid will also compete in the fourth heat.

Those who make it past their heats will go forward to semi-final week with the hope of reaching the grand final.

The judges have been impressed with the level of skill this year.

Duncan James has been praised for his culinary talent and fans have been in awe of musician Bez and his interesting cooking techniques.

Taking to Twitter to share their thoughts, one said: “Bez is the gift that keeps on giving even after all these years. What a legend.

Another added: “Whoever booked Su Pollard for #CelebrityMasterChef knew what they were doing.

“Su knew exactly what she was doing (not near the hob) and I’m glad they both did. Just what we needed.”

Fans have continued to express their excitement as they wait for their favourite celebs to take to the kitchen.

Celebrity MasterChef airs on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays on BBC One.
