X Factor scrapped on Sundays after 10 years in favour of Catchphrase game show

X Factor has been replaced by quiz show Catchphrase in the TV schedules this weekend.

Bosses have axed the Sunday night results show after a decade.

It means its live shows will air only on Saturdays for the first time since 2008.

ITV chiefs have had to find a show to replace it at 8pm on Sundays and think Catchphrase, hosted by Stephen Mulhern, will be a winner.

This Sunday’s game will be a celeb special with Kelly Osbourne and Dan Walker.

X Factor bosses have made a string of big changes to the format this year to try to boost its ratings.

They cut the traditional format and replaced it with a celebrity edition, scrapped boot camp and gave it a new theme song.

But it has still failed to win over viewers.
