<\/p>\nKatie Price has been criticised by animal welfare charity PETA after she appeared to hit her new puppy during a TikTok video.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The former glamour model, 45, revealed earlier this month she’d adopted a new pet after the death of her protection dog Blade in June.<\/p>\n
In a recent livestream, users claimed that Katie appeared to slap Tank off-screen after he began sitting on her clothes.<\/p>\n
PETA founder Ingrid Newkirk has slammed the star, who has previously faced calls to be banned from keeping animals, telling MailOnline: ‘Short of shooting a puppy in the head on TikTok, there is almost nothing more Katie Price could do to cement the fact that she is an unfit dog guardian and an irresponsible person.’<\/p>\n
In the stream, puppy Tank had been in shot playing while Katie spoke to her followers, as the star explained that she was trying to get her kids and the dog ‘settled’.<\/p>\n

She yelled: ‘Get off! You’re sitting on my jumpers, my love jumpers that I love. Get off.\u00a0Jesus Christ… Anyway, as I was saying…’<\/p>\n
As Tank moved out of shot, Katie could be seen raising her hand to the animal, with users claiming they heard a ‘loud smack’.<\/p>\n
Laughing it off, Katie said: ‘It’s hectic in here,’ while her friend added: ‘It’s like having a baby – worse actually. At least a baby would just sit there.’<\/p>\n
Several users then commented under Katie’s post claiming she’d slapped the puppy, with one writing: ‘Did she just hit her dog?’ while another added: ‘Omggggg.’<\/p>\n
MailOnline has contacted a representative for Katie Price for comment.\u00a0<\/p>\n

PETA Vice President of Programmes Elisa Allen told MailOnline after the death of her dog Blade: ‘After a seventh animal died in her custody, Katie Price should be facing more than the court of public opinion \u2013 she should face a court of law and be banned for life from keeping animals.<\/p>\n

‘PETA urges authorities to look into Blade’s death and reminds the public that it’s not just Price who has blood on her hands.\u00a0<\/p>\n
‘Greedy breeders who keep selling or ‘gifting’ animals to her are also to blame, as they know full well what the likely outcome will be.’\u00a0<\/p>\n
Katie announced Blade’s death on Instagram, writing:\u00a0‘Words can’t express the lost of my best friend my protector my absolutely everything who had sadly passed away today.<\/p>\n
‘I have no words to say how I’m feeling but numb and shocked rip Blade.’<\/p>\n
Blade’s death comes just seven months after another of Katie’s dogs, Sharon, was killed on the same road.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Sharon\u00a0was killed when she allegedly escaped and ran on to the road where she was hit by a car. She was\u00a0picked up off the A24 by the driver and taken to Arun Vets in Pulborough, West Sussex, where her death was confirmed.<\/span><\/p>\n In 2020, Katie’s pet dog Rolo suffocated in her home, while her alsatian Sparkle was mowed down in February of the same year, in shocking echoes of the death of her dog Queenie, who was killed in 2018.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n In July 2020, Katie was criticised by animal rights activists after Rolo’s suffocation.
