Tipping Point viewers are demanding bosses to start muting players' microphones when it's not their turn.

The popular ITV game show returned on Monday (September 4) with contestants Taffa, Shelley and Ian taking their turn to win a huge cash prize on the coin machine.

But as the quiz kicked off and the players began battling it out, fans noticed chatty player Shelley had a lot to say about the gameplay, even when it wasn’t even her turn.

As the other players began answering questions and chatting with host Ben Shephard, some fans weren't best pleased with Shelley’s ongoing commentary.

And now fans are calling for show bosses to mute the microphones of players when it’s not their turn during rounds.

“@ITV #tippingpoint You need to turn off the microphones for the players who are not playing their turn! It's really annoying to hear other players banging on when it's not their turn!!”

“Taffa, Shelley, pro-tip – whenever it isn’t your turn…” accompanied by a gif of someone asking them to be quiet.

“I don’t want to hear the other players chiming in during other people’s turn can we not mute them when they’re not playing?” said a third.

Other believed that the players are instructed to this by ITV.

“The #tippingpoint producers tell them to do that, so they ain't likely to be muting them,” one fan suggested.

To which another replied: “Is that true? It's the most annoying thing about the programme! I keep forgetting about it and then turn it over every time!!”

Fans recently blasted the ITV show’s “awful” mystery prizes, two of which are on offer to players during every episode.

Recently, fans slammed a prize after a player received an indoor smart garden as their mystery prize.

After managing to gain the lucky mystery counter from the machine, contestant Sue was evidently thrilled. Given the fact that there are only three mystery counters in the machine during each show, the prize token is often rare to come by.

However, when presenter Ben Shephard revealed what Sue's prize would be, fans at home were left fuming and took to social media to complain.

Heading over to X formerly known as Twitter, one frustrated viewer said: "You've won yourself an indoor self smart garden? What a prize! Said absolutely no one, ever."

Another penned: "Wow really rubbish mystery prize again."
