{"id":67272,"date":"2023-09-06T18:46:41","date_gmt":"2023-09-06T18:46:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/celeband.com\/?p=67272"},"modified":"2023-09-06T18:46:41","modified_gmt":"2023-09-06T18:46:41","slug":"eastenders-confirms-major-couple-has-split-in-a-moment-you-may-have-missed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/celeband.com\/tv-movies\/eastenders-confirms-major-couple-has-split-in-a-moment-you-may-have-missed\/","title":{"rendered":"EastEnders confirms major couple has split in a moment you may have missed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/image-2023-09-06T094546.595-a1c0.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>EastEnders has confirmed a \u2018messy breakup\u2019 between Cindy Williams Jr (Mimi Keene) and Liam Butcher (Alfie Deegan) in recent scenes.<\/p>\n<p>The couple moved to Germany together in 2015 after Cindy\u2019s relationship with Ian and Jane Beale (Adam Woodyatt and Laurie Brett) grew strained.<\/p>\n<p>Because of this, Cindy Jr hasn\u2019t been around to witness the second coming of Cindy Beale, who returned from the dead earlier this year.<\/p>\n<p>Viewers came to learn that Cindy was never dead in the first place, but had been living under witness protection for the last 25 years.<\/p>\n<p>This came as a huge shock to the Beales, as well as the Knights, who had been her family during her time in witness protection.<\/p>\n<p>To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a webbrowser thatsupports HTML5video<\/p>\n<p>After being rejected by daughters Anna and Gina (Molly Rainford and Francesca Henry), Cindy fretted to Ian and son Peter (Thomas Law) about how Cindy Jr may react.<\/p>\n<p>Cindy Jr has grown up believing that her mother died giving birth to her, and therefore blamed herself for her death, so Cindy\u2019s worries are totally valid.<\/p>\n<p>However, Peter soon revealed that Cindy wouldn\u2019t find out any time soon, as she had decided to go travelling to find herself after a messy breakup with Liam.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/wp-content\/themes\/metro-parent\/img\/fallback.png\"><\/p>\n<p>This meant that Cindy would have time to prepare herself before revealing the truth to the daughter that she never got to know.<\/p>\n<p>This isn\u2019t the first time Cindy Jr has been mentioned in recent weeks, with Cindy asking Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) if she was still in contact with her.<\/p>\n<p>Kathy revealed that she sends Christmas cards, but never hears back, before asking Cindy if she\u2019d been in touch.<\/p>\n<p>Cindy revealed that she wanted to, but it didn\u2019t feel like the right time.
