I feel absolutely fine but the specialist that I saw on Friday said not to risk it until it is better,\u2019 the 52-year-old presenter shared.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Thank you to everyone at GMB for stepping in and to all of you for your brilliant tips \u2013 I\u2019ve been steaming and also doing ginger and lemon and honey and turmeric tea and drinking tons and tons of water.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u2018I will see you soon,\u2019 she added.<\/p>\n<p>Across the clip she wrote: \u2018Sorry I won\u2019t be with you in the morning. Vocal chords [sic] affected by mild infection (not C), that I didn\u2019t even realise I had!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/Capture-Susanna-Reid-1203.png\"><\/p>\n<p>To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a webbrowser thatsupports HTML5video<\/p>\n<p>She had been due to appear on This Morning to discuss her new haircut but had to pull out for the same reason.<\/p>\n<p>Susanna explained that she had attended the<strong>\u00a0NTAs on Tuesday evening\u00a0<\/strong>but said her croaky voice was a mystery as she was the first person to leave and doesn\u2019t drink or smoke.<\/p>\n<p>As Charlotte Hawkins, 48, introduced her \u2018unscheduled\u2019 appearance on the show, filling in for Susanna, the show\u2019s presenters spoke to her briefly from her dressing room.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/wp-content\/themes\/metro-parent\/img\/fallback.png\"><\/p>\n<p>\u2018It\u2019s funny because it was the NTAs last night and when I got in my cab to leave the driver said, \u201cYou\u2019re the very first person to leave the NTAs. You\u2019re obviously not partying,\u201d\u2019 she recalled.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018And of course, I don\u2019t drink, I don\u2019t smoke. So there\u2019s absolutely no reason I can understand.
