This Morning\u00a0paid an on air tribute to one of its guests who passed away at the age of 19. <\/p>\n

Matty Lock, who had a love of vacuum cleaners, sadly\u00a0died at the weekend, and the show\u2019s hosts Holly Willoughby and Dermot O\u2019Leary paid tribute to him at the beginning of today\u2019s programme. <\/p>\n

Dermot said: "We've got some heartbreaking and horrible news to share with you this morning. One of the This Morning family members, Matty Lock, passed away this weekend.\u201d<\/p>\n

Holly continued by recalling the \u201cjoy\u201d he brought to everyone who worked on This Morning as she said: "He was a much loved member of This Morning family and never failed to bring joy to our studio, with an infectious passion for technology and gadgets, which was truly unique."<\/p>\n

"We send our deepest condolences to his family," Holly added as they remembered Matty's passion for gadgets.<\/p>\n

The show first paid tribute to Matty yesterday, September 10, on X, formerly known as Twitter.<\/p>\n

In a post, a statement from the show read: "Everyone at This Morning is shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of Matty Lock, aged just 19.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was a delightful young man, a joy to work with and his passion for vacuum cleaners and general mechanics was infectious.<\/p>\n

\u201cHis family came to the studio and they were so proud that he\u2019d turned a childhood hobby into a career. We will miss him and send our condolences to his family."<\/p>\n

Holly, 42, also penned: "Just so unbelievably sad. Such a lovely and talented young man\u2026 sending my love to his friends and family, this must be such a difficult time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Matty owned 150 vacuums and first sat down with Holly and former host\u00a0Philip Schofield three years ago to talk about his hobby.<\/p>\n

He explained that he had turned it into a business and would take them apart and fix them before returning them to their owners<\/p>\n

In another tribute on her Instagram Stories following the sad news of Matty's death, Holly wrote: "So shocked and saddened to hear the news today.<\/p>\n

"Matty was a wonderful person with a true passion for what he did… my love goes out to his friends and family and what must be a very difficult time."<\/p>\n

Dermot said: "Awful news. What a lovely guy. X,"<\/p>\n

Another regular presenter who appears on the sofa, Craig Doyle, added: "Ah no, what a lovely young man, this is such tragic news. Rest in Peace Matty."<\/p>\n

Rylan Clark, who previously presented on the show also paid tribute: "God that\u2019s really sad. Sending love x.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
