Sum 41 star Deryck Whibley has been rushed to hospital.<\/p>\n
The 42-year-old singer\u2019s wife Ariana Cooper Whibley confirmed her partner has pneumonia and that there\u2019s \u2018a possibility of heart failure\u2019.<\/p>\n
Model Ariana, 32, posted two photos of her husband on social media, one of which showed him being loaded off an ambulance.<\/p>\n
She also penned a lengthy update about Deryck\u2019s health and explained the situation \u2018brings back a lot of really difficult memories\u2019.<\/p>\n
Ariana said in full: \u2018Deryck and I were supposed to be in Chicago right now, celebrating our eight-year wedding anniversary but the universe had a different plan for us.<\/p>\n
\u2018We spent the entire night in the ER and will now be spending the next few days here in the hospital as he fights through pneumonia.<\/p>\n

\u2018The scariest part is that there is a lot of strain on his heart and they are telling us that there is a possibility of heart failure.\u2019<\/p>\n
She went on: \u2018This is obviously not our first time in a situation like this but it brings back a lot of really difficult memories seeing him back in a hospital bed connected to wires and IVs.<\/p>\n
\u2018I know how strong he is because I have witnessed what he has been able to overcome but that doesn\u2019t make it any easier to see. I\u2019ll do my best to keep everyone updated but if you could keep him in your heart over the next few days, we could really use it.\u2019<\/p>\n
Deryck has been sober since 2014 after he collapsed in his kitchen and was rushed to hospital, where doctors said his liver and kidneys had failed.<\/p>\n

Speaking after that health scare, Deryck previously told Vice: \u2018It was the right time in my life for it to happen. I\u2019m glad it happened now and not when I\u2019m like, 50, because my body wouldn\u2019t have been able to handle it. But it\u2019s unfortunate that it had to even come to that.<\/p>\n
\u2018However, now I\u2019m feeling better than I\u2019ve ever felt. I\u2019m healthier. I\u2019m in the best shape of my life.\u2019<\/p>\n
Ariana \u2013 who has son Lydon Idby, three, and daughter Quentin Arlo, six months with Deryck \u2013 previously suffered with depression and survived a suicide attempt in 2013.<\/p>\n
The pair got sober together after Deryck\u2019s 2014 health scare.<\/p>\n
