Neighbours returned to TV screens with a bang, serving up a huge twist that has left fans with their jaws on the floor. <\/p>\n
Set two years after the star-studded finale, the popular soap\u2019s comeback episode ticked all the boxes, reacquainting us with familiar Ramsay Street faces in addition to introducing us to a brand new family. <\/p>\n
There was excitement in the air, with a surprise wedding at the centre of it all, which was previously teased in a trailer, leaving viewers speculating who was the bride and who was the groom. <\/p>\n
By the end of the first half of Monday\u2019s (September 18) episode, it became clear that the bride was Terese Willis (Rebekah Elmaloglou), with the show\u2019s clever dialogue subsequently leading fans to believe that the groom was none other than Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis).<\/p>\n
This outcome would\u2019ve made perfect sense given that Terese and Paul reunited in last year\u2019s finale episode on Channel 5. <\/p>\n
But in typical Neighbours fashion, a shock twist was on the horizon, with the closing moments of the outing in question confirming that the groom was actually Toadie Rebecchi (Ryan Moloney)!<\/p>\n
