Coming November in Geneva, Christie\u2019s will be presenting a trio of prestigious and spectacular time-tellers at its Rare Watches auction.<\/p>\n
Leading the lineup is the Patek Philippe Nautilus Ref. 3700\/31, a stunning timepiece encased in platinum with a diamond-set bezel, complete with an integrated bracelet crafted by Gay Fr\u00e8res. Estimated to fetch between 1,500,000 – 3,500,000 CHF (approximately $1,672,182 – $3,901,758 USD), the Ref. 3700\/31 is also the only publicly known example of its kind, hence its status as the most important piece for Nautilus Ref. 3700 collectors.<\/p>\n
Also going under the hammer is the Sonnerie Souveraine, F.P.Journe\u2019s GPHG-award-winning timepiece from 2006. Geared with both a Grande and a Petite Sonnerie minute repeater, this model has been described by its watchmaker as \u201cthe most complete and accomplished timepiece ever made.\u201d It\u2019s estimated for 700,000-1,400,000 CHF (approximately $780,352 – $1,560,703 USD).<\/p>\n
Last but not least is the Philippe Dufour Simplicity, the horologer\u2019s stainless steel-built wristwatch to be auctioned. With an estimation of 600,000-1,200,000 CHF (approximately $668,873 – $1,337,746 USD), the 2021 timepiece features a 38mm case diameter and a smooth, blue dial.<\/p>\n
