A BBC COMEDY star broke down in tears and left the show's set while filming its last ever series.<\/p>\n
Fans of beloved sitcom Ghosts were left devastated when it was announced earlier this year the show was ending.<\/p>\n

And it seems the cast were just as upset – with one star having to leave the set multiple times.<\/p>\n
Martha Howe-Douglas has revealed she got teary on numerous occasions while shooting her last episodes.<\/p>\n
It forced the actress to make multiple trips back to hair and makeup as they fought against the tears to keep the star in character.<\/p>\n
She revealed: "We're gutted, it wasn't an easy decision at all [to end the show], it still isn't easy.<\/p>\n

"There were tears, there were lots of tears.<\/p>\n
"I couldn't stop crying for about three days. They put me on camera and they were like 'she's got to go, she's got to go back to the truck'."<\/p>\n
The former Doctors star, who is only 47, plays the role of elderly ghost Lady Fanny Button in the comedy.<\/p>\n
She continued: "I cried myself young, they had to keep taking me back to redo my eye makeup and stuff.<\/p>\n
