<\/p>\nAn an\u00a0environmentalist, Tory peer Zac Goldsmith has always had a keen interest in feathered friends.<\/p>\n
And now, weeks after the multi-millionaire reportedly had his close friendship with singer Ellie Goulding called off, he has been spotted in a cosy chat with ‘naked swift’ activist Hannah Bourne-Taylor.<\/p>\n
Former model Hannah, 37, who last year marched topless to 10 Downing Street as a ‘swift’ to draw attention to the plight of our birds, laughed with Lord Goldsmith over a coffee in West London.<\/p>\n
Onlookers might be forgiven for thinking the ex-MP, 48, had moved swiftly on from his friendship with Starry Eyed singer Ellie, 36.<\/p>\n

But meeting the Lady Godiva protester should not ruffle feathers. Hannah \u2013 who once let a finch nest in her hair for 84 days \u2013 is happily married to Robin, a former Army Captain, and her relationship with Zac is purely ornithological.<\/p>\n
They worked together on an amendment to the Levelling Up Bill, requiring developers to include some hollow ‘swift bricks’ in new housing developments to give the birds somewhere to nest.<\/p>\n
Father-of-six Zac’s friendship with Ellie emerged after his second marriage, to Alice Rothschild, broke down.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Zac, son of late financier Sir James Goldsmith, met Ellie at the COP26 climate summit in Glasgow in November 2021.<\/p>\n
It was reported earlier this year that Ellie’s four-year marriage to art dealer Caspar Jopling, 31, was struggling and they were spending time apart.\u00a0<\/p>\n
They have a son aged two. But the couple are now said to be reconciling.<\/p>\n
