Comedy icon Julian Clary has fired back at claims that he wasn\u2019t fully engaged when he appeared on the Channel 4 show Taskmaster hosted by Greg Davies.<\/p>\n
Speaking about his appearance on the programme he admitted that he desperately wanted to \u201cplease Greg Davies\u201d.<\/p>\n
Saying that he was \u201cquite infatuated with him\u201d he insisted that he wasn\u2019t bored during his appearance.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m a bit dour\u2026 I was accused of looking bored during some of the tasks.<\/p>\n
\u201cI wasn\u2019t all bubbly and enthusiastic. I was just me! That\u2019s all I can offer,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

More info<\/p>\n Starring in the likes of Friday Night Live, Who Do You Think You Are and his own game show Sticky Moments with Julian Clary, his work has been predominately later in the day.<\/p>\n Growing up in Middlesex with his dad, mum and two sisters, the 64-year-old has said his upbringing his household was \u201call comedy\u201d.<\/p>\n However it appears that the comedy all came later in the evening as daytime TV wasn’t a thing in his household.<\/p>\n He admitted that he was only allowed watch television at night and therefore, to this day, has no time for daytime TV.<\/p>\n The same can\u2019t be said of reality TV of which he is something of a veteran.<\/p>\n He won Celebrity Big Brother in 2012 but prior to that he strutted his stuff on Strictly Come Dancing in the second series in 2004 and made the final.<\/p>\n You can read Julian’s full interview in this week’s Radio Times.<\/p>\n
