Instagram has begun testing on a Meta Verified user feed, which in essence will only show content produced by those who have subscribed to the paid service.

The platform’s head, Adam Mosseri shared Monday, October 23, that “We’re exploring this as a new control for people and a way for businesses and creators to get discovered.”

Specifics on how the test is being rolled out haven’t been shared at the time of writing, however, Mosseri did ask users to “let us know if you’d be interested in using this.”

To see if you’re included in the test, tap the “Instagram” logo at the top left of the app, users that are will see a new “Meta Verified” option under “Following” and “Favorites.”

As for Meta Verified, it costs $11.99 on the web or $14.99 in app. Fortunately, unlike X, those who are legacy verified will maintain this status and will also be included in the “Meta Verified” user feed.

While the test is thought to be a small one for select users, it’s likely to become more broadly available in the coming months, with more details expected to be shared by Mosseri and Instagram soon.
