Texas-based high-performance tuner, Hennessey Performance, is paying a bittersweet tribute to the end of an era, through the release of its H1000 “Last Stand” editions of the Dodge SRT Challenger and Charger.

As its name would suggest, each vehicle packs an impressive 1,000 horsepower, significantly increasing the vehicles’ already potent performance. This limited series marks the conclusion of the Hellcat-powered muscle cars’ nine-year reign, offering a fitting homage with exclusive design touches in addition to the power upgrades.

Notably, the Hellcat’s already potent 6.2-liter HEMI V8 has been supercharged for all non-Redeye models, receiving a suite of enhancements including a larger supercharger, high-flow components and a recalibrated engine capable of producing 948 lb-ft of torque.

This enhanced powertrain propels the “Last Stand” models to 60 mph in just 2.8 seconds, completing a quarter-mile dash in 9.9 seconds at 141 mph. For comparison, these figures place the cars close to the performance benchmarks of Dodge’s own SRT Demon 170, although, with the convenience of running on standard pump-unleaded gasoline.

Design-wise, the H1000 series stands out with carbon-fiber elements, including a new rear spoiler, front splitter, side skirts and rear diffuser. Complementing these are 20-inch alloy wheels available in gloss black or graphite finishes and unique heritage graphics. Each vehicle is limited to 50 editions and features a plaque that indicates its unique serial number.

“The Challenger and Charger are two of our most popular models, with monstrous horsepower in a comfortable and capable chassis. While it’s sad to see the 6.2-liter HEMI go, I’m pleased to commemorate its near-decade run with our unique ‘Last Stand’ models that pair the 1,000-horsepower output with the sleek look of carbon fiber and other exterior performance upfits,” shared the tuner’s CEO John Hennessey.

“Last Stand” upgrades are available for 2021 to 2023 models of the Dodge SRT Challenger and Charger and can be placed through authorized Hennessey dealers or directly via the tuner’s official site.
