Years after the Harry Potter films came to an end, Alfred Enoch has landed a role in a chilling new Channel 4 drama, The Couple Next Door.

The British thriller follows Evie and her boyfriend Pete, who move next door to traffic-cop Danny and yoga instructor Becka and strike up a friendship.

But a night of passion between Evie and Danny could have consequences.

Alfred was spotted on the red carpet at a BAFTA screening for the drama and looked world's away from the young wizard he played in Harry Potter.

Dressed in a black jumper and khaki trousers, the actor posed with co-stars Sam Heughan and Eleanor Tomlinson.

Of course many fans will remember Alfred as Dean, a half-blood wizard whose mother was murdered by Death Eaters.

He was a Gryffindor student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry along with Harry and the pair both played on the Quidditch team.

One of his most memorable roles was joining Dumbledore's Army in his fifth year to learn about how to fighting against Lord Voldemort and his Death Eaters.

He took part in the Battle of Hogwarts and survived the Second Wizarding War. In the films, he was last seen in the Great Hall with Seamus Finnigan and Aberforth Dumbledore.

Away from the Harry Potter films, Alfred has been busy working on several other TV ventures including starring in Apple TV+ series Foundation.

He also starred in This Is Christmas, Executive Order and BBC series Trust Me.

Alfred's not the only Harry Potter star to return to TV in the coming weeks as Daniel Radcliffe is honouring his stunt double in a documentary for Sky.

David Holmes: The Boy Who Lived sees Daniel reunite with his stunt double who suffered a horrific injury on set while filming Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

David was left permanently paralysed and Daniel only had good things to say about his co-star.

In the trailer for the documentary, he's heard remarking: "David always seemed like a cool older brother.

"He would do the most dangerous physical stuff. This terrible thing happened to Dave, but I don't want to talk as if his life is a tragedy.

"The way his life has affected the lives of the people around him means it is the furthest thing from that imaginable."
