And he was fully prepared to go to prison.<\/p>\n<p><b>READ MORE: &apos;Unstable&apos; Pete Doherty &apos;trashed&apos; \u00a380,000 painting given to Kate Moss &apos;in fit of rage&apos;<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b><i>Keep up to date with all the latest showbiz news here<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Speaking to Louis Theroux in an interview airing tonight (November 14), the troubled musician revealed: \u201cWhen I walked into court I had some drugs stuffed up my arse in case they sent me down.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i2-prod.dailystar.co.uk\/incoming\/article31438159.ece\/ALTERNATES\/s615b\/2_Pete-Doherty-court-case-2008.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>The \u201chellraiser with an extensive list of hits and criminal convictions\u201d now lives in a secluded French country cottage with his wife and baby daughters, but still enjoys the occasional glass of rum.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a far cry from the years when he made regular headlines for his relationship with supermodel Kate Moss and his 15 convictions for drugs and other offences. \u201cI\u2019m proud of being banned from London,\u201d he laughs.<\/p>\n<p>No longer the skinny drug fiend of the early 2000s, Pete is these days a portly character who has clearly tucked away more than one Margate fry-up. He says he plays occasional songs in his local restaurant in exchange for a free feed, but has been warned by his doctor that he needs to change his diet if he wants to avoid developing diabetes.<\/p>\n<p>He\u2019s devoted to his French film-maker wife Katya, and his little daughter Billie-Mae. \u201cI do have two other children but I wasn\u2019t part of their upbringing,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i2-prod.dailystar.co.uk\/incoming\/article31438165.ece\/ALTERNATES\/s615b\/1_447163Louis-Theroux-InterviewsS2.jpg\"><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<figure data-mod=\"image\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i2-prod.dailystar.co.uk\/incoming\/article31399601.ece\/ALTERNATES\/s458\/0_Screenshot-2023-11-09-at-1117_MBanner.jpg\"><\/figure>\n<p> Inside &apos;Zombie Avenue&apos; where stumbling drug addicts&apos; skin &apos;falls off their faces&apos;<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/s2-prod.mirror.co.uk\/@trinitymirrordigital\/chameleon-branding\/publications\/dailystar\/img\/logo-schema-dailystar.png\"><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>He still plays occasional gigs with the Libertines, but spends most of his time in his little cottage, working on his art. He says it\u2019s \u201ccomplete chance\u201d that the most prominent items in his messy art studio are a suitcase with Kate Moss\u2019s name on, and a photo of himself standing in front of the London-born supermodel\u2019s portrait.<\/p>\n<p>He gets emotional when talking about the death of actor Mark Blanco, who fell from a balcony in suspicious circumstances in December 2006. \u201cThere was some playground pushing and shoving, and the next thing I know he was on the floor and his skull\u2019s cracked open\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He admits that he ran away from the house where Blanco died \u2013 even stepping over the 30-year-old actor\u2019s body \u2013 because he had had drugs on him. \u201cI probably didn\u2019t take it seriously enough,\u201d he says. \u201cI didn\u2019t want to see the police because it was an inconvenience to me\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i2-prod.dailystar.co.uk\/incoming\/article31438168.ece\/ALTERNATES\/s615b\/1_doherty_photo_14-Fdration-Studio-France-Wendy-Productions.jpg\"><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<figure data-mod=\"image\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i2-prod.dailystar.co.uk\/incoming\/article31398037.ece\/ALTERNATES\/s458\/1_el-ch-apooo.jpg\"><\/figure>\n<p> &apos;I broke into El Chapo&apos;s son&apos;s home after bloody battle and was horrified by what I saw&apos;<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/s2-prod.mirror.co.uk\/@trinitymirrordigital\/chameleon-branding\/publications\/dailystar\/img\/logo-schema-dailystar.png\"><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>His life has been marked by numerous run-ins with the law. On one occasion, high on a cocktail of drugs and alcohol, he was arrested in Paris after attacking a man on a scooter.
