No friends could make it so she put the offer out to several acquaintances.<\/p>\n<p>A girl she wasn&#8217;t close with agreed to come along but things took a drastic turn shortly after the pair set off.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;When we got to Iceland, I started to see a dark side of her come out when drinking,&#8217; Amy, known now as Spellbound Travels, wrote on Instagram.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On the first night Amy claims the girl &#8216;attacked&#8217; her in the hostel before &#8216;punching the receptionist in the face&#8217;. No friends could make it so she put the offer out to several acquaintances\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Finding myself completely alone and not knowing what to do, I started to make friends with new people at the hostel and explore Iceland,&#8217; she wrote.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I had to completely rearrange my plans to avoid her and found new things to do.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Despite it being a stressful week, I ended up seeing the northern lights, hiking with new people, driving around the golden circle, seeing waterfalls, geysers and more!&#8217;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The experience was a massive learning curve for Amy who realised she needed to &#8216;be careful who you travel with&#8217; &#8211; and sometimes the best people to travel with are others from hostels.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;They made my experience and gave me the confidence to travel on my own after that,&#8217; she said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/22\/22\/78131619-12777995-image-m-22_1700691445035.jpg\" height=\"586\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>It was a massive learning curve for Amy who realised she needed to &#8216;be careful who you travel with&#8217;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/22\/22\/78094925-12777995-Now_she_s_a_digital_nomad_and_shares_images_of_her_travels_on_so-a-23_1700693365918.jpg\" height=\"841\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Now she&#8217;s a digital nomad and shares images of her travels on social media\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3>I visited Egypt for a &#8216;dream&#8217; holiday and it turned out to be the worst trip ever<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/22\/22\/75027759-12777995-image-a-7_1700691214208.jpg\" height=\"822\" width=\"586\"><\/p>\n<p>Despite the rough start Amy said she needed to be pushed out of her comfort zone to start solo travelling. Now she&#8217;s a travelling nomad and has ventured around the world.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Amy also revealed she doesn&#8217;t talk to the\u00a0acquaintance anymore.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>After sharing the details on TikTok, one person wrote:\u00a0&#8216;I hope you realise how awesome solo travel is now!
