Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer Dianne Buswell opened up on her experience on the show and talked about being determined to stay "positive" as she broke her silence after the dramatic results show at the weekend.

The Australian star is paired up with EastEnders actor Bobby Brazier, 20, on this year's competition.

Initially becoming fan-favourites on the show, their journey has turned into a rocky one as the weeks went on, with speculation over their close friendship turning into something more.

What's more, Dianne, 34, has been dealing with some family difficulties after revealing that her beloved dad was embarking on chemotherapy and is battling cancer, earlier this month.

Things then went from bad to worse when Bobby ended up in the dance-off for the first time, after an incredible live show in Blackpool.

Pitted against Angela Rippon, 79, Bobby was unanimously saved by the judges, but the fear and worry about getting voted off the show all became too much for Dianne.

The red-headed star started sobbing uncontrollably as she clung on to her dance partner, and the relief was palpable as she realised she and Bobby were saved for another week.

Focusing on the positives after a rollercoaster week, Dianne shared a series of joyous snaps of the pair enjoying their day out at Blackpool and in the famous ballroom.

"Extremely grateful for another chance to dance and to show you what this amazing boy can do," the star began her caption.

"I don’t take any day or dance for granted. I want to thank everybody who took the time to vote for Bobby and I we appreciate it more than you know."

The star went on: "Despite a dance off, that was Bobbys highest score and he is improving week on week.

"He started this thing with zero experience so what he has achieved is pretty incredible.

The professional dancer finished her post by teasing an exciting performance during the next live show, hinting that it could even be time for Bobby's Couple's Choice dance.

"We have something pretty special for you all this week coming up," Dianne teased.

Fans shared their support in the comments, as one person wrote: "I don’t understand why people aren’t voting for you. Most improved non dancer by far!! Did not deserve to be in the dance off at all."

"You shouldn’t have even been in the dance off at all!" another follower declared.

A third person shared: "So happy!! So deserved."
