Teased initially at Camp Flog Gnaw, fans have been waiting for Southside and Lil Yachty to drop the trap cut “Gimme Da Lite” in full. Today, the duo officially released the nearly two-minute track on streaming, accompanied by a trippy music video.

“Free all my lil’ homies, they was goin’ insane (Woo-hoo) / Couple of new n*ggas tryna join the gang (Woo-hoo) / Told me he a stepper and he tryna hang (Woo-hoo) / I did not believe him ’til I seen him bang (Woo-hoo),” Yachty comes in hot over the clean, Southside-produced beat. Zhamak Fullad directed the track’s vibrant visual, which sees the two rappers dripped out and alternating between an impressive array of outfits.

“Gimme Da Lite” is the second song off Southside’s forthcoming album – which is slated for release sometime in 2024. It comes over a year and a half after the album’s first song, “Hold That Heat” with Future and Travis Scott, which dropped in April of 2022.
