Florence Black's First FW23 Drop Is an Ancient Awakening
Emerging British label Florence Black is grounded in vintage styling references and takes inspiration from Oxford University athlete timekeepers. Sophistication ran high on the sidelines, seeing the founder uncover his grandfather’s professional wardrobe 60 years later.
Founded in 2018, Florence Black crafts premium menswear with an eye for detailed expression. The brand’s Fall/Winter 2023 collection is a tribute to historical tailoring captured inside a dated British home. The menswear offering is sleek and elegant, previewing a shoulder-padded knee-length coat taken from the 1950s. Drop-shoulder cropped tees are made for casual outings, while wool suiting and high-neck tops ooze with cultured elegance.
Double-layered knitwear and pleated sweatpants are matched with pinstriped blazers and exposed Florence Black boxers, completing the collection with embroidered caps and cozy beanies.
