On Sept. 7 — nearly a year after he made their relationship Instagram official — music star Charlie Puth announced that he and Brooke Sansone are engaged.
“I flew to New York to ask my best friend to marry me, and she said yes,” he captioned a series of photos on Instagram featuring her gorgeous new pear-shaped diamond engagement ring, adding, “I am the happiest, best version of myself and it is all because of you Brookie. I love you endlessly forever and ever and ever.”
Brooke is a digital marketing and public relations coordinator at an interior design firm. She and Charlie grew up together in New Jersey and only started dating in recent years after a lengthy friendship.
“[She’s] someone that I grew up with,” Charlie told radio host Howard Stern in 2022, explaining, “As my life gets more turbulent and I travel everywhere, it’s really nice to have someone close to you that you’ve known for a very long time.”

On Aug. 14, “The Originals” co-stars Danielle Campbell and Colin Woodell took to Instagram to share a joint post announcing that they’re engaged: “You and me,” they captioned a slideshow of photos including a closeup of the actress’s new engagement ring. They’ve reportedly been an item since 2018 — the same year their cult The CW show came to an end after five seasons. Danielle went on to star on “Tell Me a Story,” while Colin recently starred on “The Flight Attendant.”

On Aug. 14, Zooey Deschanel and Jonathan Scott took to Instagram to share a joint post announcing that they’re engaged following a courtship of four years: “Forever starts now!!!” they captioned a selfie showing off the “New Girl” alum’s engagement ring — a colorful bauble featuring pink and purple gemstones arranged in the shape of at least three flowers.
According to People magazine, the “Property Brothers” star popped the question in Scotland on Aug. 13 during a family vacation with the actress’s two children from her first marriage.

“The Real Housewives of Miami” star Lenny Hochstein — who’s still married to estranged wife Lisa Hochstein — is engaged to Katharina Mazepa, the couple announced on Instagram on July 29. “On top of an ancient pirate cave, overlooking the sunset over breathtaking Es Vedrá, he asked to steal me away forever,” the Austrian model captioned a post featuring proposal pictures.
Her engagement to the South Florida plastic surgeon comes more than a year after Lenny filed to divorce Lisa following 12 years of marriage. He was accused of cheating on Lisa with Katharina — which he’s denied — as he went public with his new romance just days after split news emerged.

He popped the question with ayellow diamond ring at the Conca del Sogno restaurant on Italy’s Amalfi coast. “The week before Leo asked for my hand, we had been laughing about one another’s past engagement stories. Poking fun at all the dos and don’ts that come along with proposals. I was completely taken by surprise when he dropped to one knee. I remember seeing the joy in Leo’s face when he couldn’t hold it in any longer. In an interview he gave to one of his newspapers, the New York Post — which was published on March 20, a 92-year-old Rupert Murdoch confirmed that he’d proposed on St. Patrick’s Day (because “I’m one-fourth Irish,” he explained) to his girlfriend of a few months, 66-year-old former dental hygienist Ann Lesley Smith, with an Asscher-cut diamond solitaire he selected himself. “I was very nervous. I dreaded falling in love — but I knew this would be my last. It better be. I’m happy,” he said.
His bride-to-be — a widow whose late husband was Chester Smith, a country singer, radio and TV exec — told the newspaper she and Rupert met in September 2022, which was a month after his divorce from fourth wife Jerry Hall was finalized. “For us both it’s a gift from God … I’m a widow 14 years. Like Rupert, my husband was a businessman. Worked for local papers, developed radio and TV stations and helped promote Univision. So I speak Rupert’s language. We share the same beliefs,” she said. “In perspective, it’s not my first rodeo. Getting near 70 means being in the last half. I waited for the right time. Friends are happy for me.”
But just two weeks later, the pair called off their engagement. Though a rep for the media mogul had no comment, a source close to him told Vanity Fair, which was the first outlet to reports the breakup news on April 4, that Rupert had become increasingly uncomfortable with Ann’s outspoken evangelical views. Meanwhile, a friend close to the former couple told DailyMail.com that the pair had come to a mutual decision to part ways. “She just could not cope with being with being in the public eye,” claimed that source. “They sat down and talked yesterday and agreed it was better for them to part. He accepts that he will always be in the public eye and there is nothing he can or would do to change that.” The DailyMail.com source insisted that Rupert remained fond of Ann, saying he “admires her, respects her and thinks she is an amazing woman. He loves the fact she is so calm and so strong … and she shares his religious convictions.”
Rupert previously shared that he and Ann met during an event at his vineyard, Moraga Bel Air in Los Angeles. “She and her husband also owned a vineyard and had been in the wine business. Last year when there [were] 200 people at my vineyard, I met her and we talked a bit. Two weeks later I called her.”
