Victoria Beckham finally addresses David Beckham and Rebecca Loos affair
Victoria and David Beckham have opened up over the affair claims that have plagued their decades-long marriage.
The couple, who are parents to Brooklyn, Harper, Romeo and Cruz Beckham, are put on the spot about the alleged 2003 affair in a new Netflix documentary about the former footballer’s life.
David, 48, is alleged to have had an extra-marital relationship with his former personal assistant Rebecca Loos while he was playing for Real Madrid in 2003.
However, both Posh, 49, and Becks, who famously sat on thrones for the 1999 wedding, have always denied the allegations.
In the documentary, Victoria spoke about how the rumours impacted their relationship, saying: ‘It was the hardest period because it felt like the world was against us.
‘Here’s the thing — we were against each other if I’m being completely honest.

‘You know, up until Madrid sometimes it felt like us against everybody else but we were together, we were connected, we had each other.
She continued: ‘But when we were in Spain, it didn’t really feel like we had each other either. And that’s sad. I can’t even begin to tell you how hard it was and how it affected me. It was a nightmare.
‘It was an absolute circus — and everyone loves it when the circus comes to town right? Unless you’re in it.’
When the singer was asked if she ‘resented’ her husband, she replied: ‘If I’m being totally honest, yes I did. It was the most unhappy I have ever been in my entire life.’
David also addressed the allegations in the four-part series and spoke about how it affected them individually and in their marriage.
He said: ‘There was some horrible stories which were difficult to deal with.
‘It was the first time that me and Victoria had been put under that kind of pressure in our marriage.’
In 2004, Rebecca claimed she had an affair with David, after working as his personal assistant.
She told Sky that he was an ‘amazing lover’ and that they ‘couldn’t keep their hands off each other’.
In 2021, Rebecca recalled telling her story to Closer magazine, saying: ‘I just felt the need to be truthful.
‘Whether you’ve done something that’s right or wrong, it was kind of just eating me up. I was living a lie and keeping secrets.’
David has always denied the scandalous rumours, calling them ‘ludicrous’.
In a statement when the allegations first arose, the then 28-year-old said: ‘During the past few months I have become accustomed to reading more and more ludicrous stories about my private life.
Victoria didn’t address the claims at the time, but in a 2007 interview she said: ‘I’m not going to lie. It was a really tough time.
‘No one said marriage was going to be easy. Yes, there have been bumps along the road.
‘But the fact is we’ve come out of everything we’ve been through stronger and happier.’
In later years, David was accused of having affairs with model Sarah Marbeck and beautician Danielle Heath, all of which were denied by statements released on behalf of the Beckhams.
The couple were joined by their children and fellow stars including James Corden and Emma Bunton at the premiere of the documentary in central London on Tuesday evening.
Victoria, who dressed in a crisp white suit, and David, who donned a dark suit and tie, posed for pictures alongside their children as well as Romeo’s girlfriend Mia Regan and Brooklyn’s wife Nicola Peltz.
Beckham is available to stream on Netflix.
