What Kristen Bell told Russell Brand on Forgetting Sarah Marshall set in 2008

Kristen Bell had a stark warning for Russell Brand on the set of Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

The comedian has been accused of rape, sexual assault and physical abuse following a bombshell investigation by The Times, as part of a collaborative effort with Dispatches and Channel 4.

The 48-year-old fiercely denied the allegations against him, addressing the claims in a video on social media on Friday, ahead of Dispatches airing an episode on the claims on Saturday.

In the wake of the claims, Bell’s comments on working with Brand on the 2008 comedy – also starring Mila Kunis, Jonah Hill, Paul Rudd and Jason Segel – have seemingly resurfaced.

According to DailyMail.com, she discussed their time together on set in an interview, and reportedly said: ‘I made it really clear from the beginning that I would sock him in the b***s if he tried anything. So he was intimidated.’

In another interview, via the Scottish Daily Record, she insisted: ‘He didn’t try to mess with me or get in my pants. He knew I would lop his n**s off.

‘Russell loves everyone to know that he’s a womanizer and he’s done all these strange things, but I think secretly hiding inside Russell is a very nice boy.

‘I had a lovely time with him because he was a bit protective towards me.’

Multiple women came forward to accuse Brand of sexual assault in an expose in the Times, and a collaborating episode of Dispatches.

He was also accused of pursuing audience members for sex while presenting Big Brother spin-off shows EFourum and Big Brother’s Big Mouth on Channel 4, while other allegations relate to when he was a radio presenter for the BBC.

The Get Him To The Greek actor also faced several claims about his behavior in the workplace, with alleging that he was predatory behind the scenes.

Following the bombshell reports, the BBC has said it is ‘urgently looking into the issues raised’.

In a new statement, a BBC spokesman said: ‘The documentary and associated reports contained serious allegations, spanning a number of years.

‘Russell Brand worked on BBC radio programs between 2006 and 2008 and we are urgently looking into the issues raised.’
