Coronation Street star Sair Khan announced she is pregnant with her first child.
The actress, 35, is best known for playing the role of Alya Nazir on the ITV soap since 2014. Sair shared the news with her Instagram followers on Wednesday (December 13), explaining their bundle of joy has come following a challenging year.
She shared a sweet black and white snap of her gazing into the eyes of her partner Nathan Chilton as they both cradled her blossoming bump. Alongside it, she wrote: "Hello… It’s been a little while since posting on here which has been a real mix of emotions.

"With all that is happening in the world it didn’t feel like the right time to share but we also know it’s okay to keep hope and pray for peace whilst acknowledging that we feel blessed and grateful."

Sair touched upon Nathan's recent health battle in the caption. In 2022, he was forced to have surgery to remove a benign bone tumour on his pelvis.
The soap star continued: "Last year was a challenging time for us both with Nathan’s chondroblastoma surgery on his pelvis. It’s been a long road to recovery and still has many obstacles ahead as we deal with the spread of the tumour to his lungs.
"Life can be difficult and there’ll always be challenges to face but there are also important lessons to be learnt and gifts to be cherished." Sair signed off the post by sharing their excitement at welcoming Baby Chilton in Spring 2024.
Her friends and followers rushed to congratulate the couple. Kym Marsh shared: "Oh this is beautiful news. Sending you both lots of love xxx." Corrie's Kimberly Hart-Simpson gushed: "Oh myyyyyyyy I am so happy for you. Amazing. Love to you both."
Jack James Ryan, who starred as Jacob Hay from 2021 to 2023 commented: "Beautiful news. Huge congratulations to you both x." Catherine Tyldesley penned: "Oh my love!!!! This is the best news. Congratulations guys."
The I'm A Celeb star went public with her relationship with chiropractor Nathan in 2021. The couple reportedly met in 2020 after being introduced by a mutual friend.
