Big Brothers Kerry dealt crushing blow ahead of eviction battle against Farida

Kerry will be the first housemate evicted from this series of Big Brother, according to Ladbrokes.

With just hours to go until the first eviction of the series, the bookies have the NHS manager priced as 4/6 favourite to be sent packing, while fellow nominated housemate Farida is 6/5 as things stand.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: "Kerry and Farida have both failed to really strike a chord with viewers up to this point, but the odds suggest the latter will be safe for at least one more eviction, with punters leaning towards an imminent exit for Kerry."

Makeup artist Farida, 50, is facing severe backlash over her remarks deemed “insensitive” regarding NHS manager Kerry, aged 40, who is battling multiple sclerosis.

In the most recent episode of the show, which made its return to screens this past Sunday, contestants found themselves tasked with working for a make-believe corporation presided over by Big Brother, complete with top executives, middle management, and staff in subordinate roles.

At the onset of the trial, both Farida and Kerry, who are currently on the list for potential eviction in Friday night's show, were assigned to the middle management category. However, Farida later singled out Kerry for her non-involvement in physically demanding chores, especially those in the kitchen. This ignited a storm of reactions on social media, with viewers criticizing her for “perpetuating stereotypes about individuals with disabilities.”

Infuriated viewers swiftly labeled Farida as “inappropriate,” “disgraceful,” and “ignorant,” with one commenter noting: "Nothing irks me more than such lazy rhetoric. It's impossible to comprehend the level of pain, fatigue, and other factors affecting a person at any given moment."

According to the NHS website, multiple sclerosis (MS) is a condition that can impact the brain and spinal cord, leading to a variety of potential symptoms, including issues with vision, limb mobility, sensation, balance, and more.

In the confines of the diary room, Farida expressed her sentiments further, stating: "Kerry is the one slacking off. She hasn't lifted a finger to help with washing, drying, chopping, or handling the vegetables. She might take pride in her promotion to a higher tier than middle management now…"

Farida's comments set off shockwaves across the internet.

“Farida needs to leave! Absolutely disgusting women and bullying someone with MS!!… Fair enough, but as a disabled person myself, nothing winds me up more than the lazy rhetoric. Don’t know the level of pain, fatigue etc a person is feeling…” blasted one fan. Another added:

“Farida calling someone with a disability, specifically MS lazy… I don't rate Kerry and I have defended Farida before because she's faced some unfair criticism but come ON you can't call someone with MS lazy are you joking me like do you think the scooter is for fun or what…”
