Fans delighted by unlikely friendship after spotting two popular 90s stars together
Fans were over the moon to spot two epic and nostalgic 90s stars coming together in an unexpected friendship as they stepped out together to have fun at a 90s-inspired reunion day.
The 90s Con that was held in Tampa, Florida over the weekend was a throwback bonanza of fun, old-school memories and lots of favourite TV stars spread over a few days, with fans travelling far and wide to come along.
It was the surprising close friendship between Saved By The Bell's Jessie, played by Elizabeth Berkley, and Sabrina the Teenage Witch's Melissa Joan Hart that tickled fans though, with most not realising they were even friends.
One fan admitted it was her "teenage girl's dream come true" to see the pair hanging out together, with another declaring it was time to "bring back the good old days of morning telly."
Another was shocked at the union, saying: "Who knew they hung out together? Not me!"
Elizabeth Berkley, 50, played Jessie Spano from 1989 to 1992 but re-runs of the show continued throughout the 90s. Fans loved Elizabeth's curly-haired character and have since enjoyed watching her on screen in more 90s classics including Showgirls and The First Wives Club with Goldie Hawn, and more recently in a reboot of Saved By The Bell.
She was also joined by fellow Saved By The Bell co-stars Mario Lopez, who played A.C. Slater and Mark Paul Gosselaar who played blonde-haired heartthrob Zack in the show.
These days she prefers a quieter pace of live and although still living and working in Hollywood for over 30 years on stage and screen, the star prefers spending time with her artist husband Greg Lauren, and her 10 year old son, Sky.
Melissa Joan Hart was the other 90s star delighting fans with her appearance, alongside her show auntie, Caroline Rhea. The 47 year old had fun laughing with Elizabeth with the pair joking that apparently Melissa is a '"real witch!"
The blonde star shares three happy boys Mason, 17, Braden, 14, and Tucker, 10, with her husband of 20 years, Mark Wilkerson and although she continues to act, she enjoys living in Connecticut and studies at New York University.
90s Con was the ultimate throwback for teenage girls of the 90s with appearances from Mrs Doubtfire's Matthew Lawrence (Chris Hillard), Nick Carter, AJ McLean and Howie Dorough from The Backstreet Boys and Joey Fatone from N Sync plus a whole host of other popular 90s stars from TV and music.
