Helen Skelton freezing in tiny bikini as she wild swims with Dan Walker
Dan Walker and Helen Skelton go wild swimming on their Pennine Adventure
Helen Skelton was left freezing on Tuesday night’s episode of her Channel 5 show with long-time friend Dan Walker.
The duo have been exploring the Pennine Way, Britain’s first long-distance trail, with the latest instalment taking them to the Yorkshire Dales.
During their trip, the pair braved a terrifying 100m abseil along with enjoying some horse riding before they decided to take a dip in the icy waters of the river.
At Cotter Force, Helen admitted she loved the water as she told Dan: “I just spent my childhood paddling and playing in the river.
“I love now that people get a lot from it.”

Striping off, Helen took to the water in a tiny leopard bikini with an orange flotation device wrapped around her waist.
Following her in, Dan donned blue swimming trunks and tried not to slip on the wet cobbles.
Clearly both cold, the pair shivered in the river as she said: “I’m not going to lie, it’s fresh.”
Although he wasn’t keen on the idea initially, Dan confessed: “ I have to hand it to Helen, I think there might be something to this wild swimming lark.”

Once out of the water, they continued their journey to Hardraw where they met a local artist Andrea Hunter who creates her pieces using wool.
Taking them to her workshop, Helen and Dan decided to give it a go themselves as they created a landscape image.
Once they were finished, Andrea confessed Dan’s was slightly better from a technical point of view as the wool had bound nicer.
Although Helen said: “I’m still proud of mine! Art is all subjective anyway isn’t it?”
Next week, the duo will embark on the final leg of their journey in the north Pennines, close to Helen’s Cumbria home.
Ahead of the show starting, Dan expressed his excitement at his road trip with Helen.
He said: “I can’t wait to get out there and explore the Pennines.
“It will be nice to escape the studio for a while and join a good friend to discover a beautiful slice of the UK and meet some amazing people along the way.
“They promised me there would be food to taste too!”
Dan & Helen’s Pennine Adventure continues Tuesday on Channel 5 from 8pm
