MAFS Shonas ex Brad slammed as he breaks silence on her relationship with co-star Matt
Brad Skelly has broken his silence after his Married At First Sight bride Shona Manderson went public with her romance with co-star Matt Pilmoor.
Model Brad, 27, was paired with Shona, 31, on the E4 show, but their marriage eventually failed with the pair asked to leave the experiment following Brad's "controlling and coercive" behaviour.
Shona has now revealed that she has moved on with fellow MAFS groom Matt, 29, who was paired with Adrienne Naylor. The couple met at the MAFS reunion in July but had to keep their relationship under wraps until the entire series had finished airing.
Matt and Shona exclusively revealed their relationship to OK! in their first joint interview, and have been gushing over one another on social media ever since with Shona even declaring her love for her new beau on Instagram.
Her ex Brad, who has since moved on with new girlfriend Hollie, has now broken his silence on Shona and Matt's surprise romance. "Couldn't be happier!" he commented on a photograph of the couple, along with a red heart and prayer emoji.
However, MAFS fans were unhappy with Brad's comment. One person responded to say Shona "doesn't need your opinion" while a second added: "Ermmmm she still doesn't need your approval you know!"
Brad also shared photos of him and Shona at the reunion, which aired on E4 on Thursday evening, where they sat down with the experts – Paul C. Brunson, Mel Schilling and Charlene Douglas – to discuss their failed relationship.
Brad wrote: "Despite the downs there were plenty of ups with light and laughter. I am grateful to of been able to share this experience with some amazing people and I have learned so much. I love all of this crazy bunch to the moon and back".
Shona is now loved-up with Matt, who appeared on MAFS slightly later in the series as an 'intruder couple' with wife Adrienne. The pair didn't cross paths while on the show, but eventually met at the reunion and instantly hit it off.
It's now been almost five months since the new MAFS couple had their first date and they seemed as loved-up as ever when chatting to OK! on Thursday, 16 November.
Beaming with happiness, Shona told us: "We have a really healthy, happy, safe, fun, relationship – I really appreciate Matt so much, itโs what I deserve, we deserve each other. Iโm proud to be his girlfriend and it just works."
When asked if they wished they were originally matched on MAFS, Matt said: "We had to do what we had to do, my experience was good but we were meant to go on those journeys to find each other."
He added: "Being together from the start would have been incredible but I think it happened this way around for a purpose. It just works, I didn't expect it and when I first saw Shona I didnโt think weโd end up together, I thought she was very attractive."
