In the post, which he shared with his 50,000 followers, he wrote: “Most emotional and love thing that I heard this week is when @angelscanlon told me her daughter said to her…
“Mum you need to work harder, if you don’t want to be dance-off and go home, I know you love dancing and I know you want to do good” this made my whole week”
He then went on to write: “I’m proud you did work really hard this week! What a power from love of daughter and a mum want to do proud for her child.” (sic)

Although Craig Revel Horwood didn’t agree and provided some harsh feedback saying: “The clue to this dance is in the name American Smooth and smooth it wasn’t unfortunately,”
“It just lacked grace. I have to say, I felt like you’d run out of ideas at the end. I don’t think it’s your best.”
This sparked a furious backlash from viewers, with many taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, to complain.
One user wrote: “Honestly, what were the judges watching. As far as I’m concerned, that was a fabulous dance from Angela S,” while another added: “Feel like they were a bit harsh on Angela S #Strictly.” (sic)
Whilst another added: “The judges’ criticisms of Angela S and Carlos surprised me, I thought it was really lovely!” (sic)
And a third penned: “I think today has been the weirdest marking I’ve seen in a while tbh… But I am 100% voting for Angela S. The comments were ridiculously harsh #strictly.” (sic)
