This Morning bosses furious as claims of producers affair emerge
This Morning’s Rochelle Humes gets emotional during interview
This Morning reportedly needed another internal inquiry after a producer was accused of an inappropriate affair with a spin-off contestant, it has been claimed.
The affair allegations came after filming a holiday dating segment in Barbados, a source has claimed.
According to a report in The Sun, producers of the shelved pilot found a member of staff had a “fling” with a contestant. The staff member has since quit, it has been claimed.
โBosses were furious when it came to their attention that a producer had an affair with the contestant, especially in light of this yearโs This Morning scandal and controversy,” a source told the publication.
โIt meant that there was another investigation into what happened in Barbados that had to be carried out.”

They claimed the producer “promptly resigned” and that the situation was “disappointing to senior members of staff”.
An ITV spokesperson told Express.co.uk: “We are unable to comment on the details of any specific employment-related matters.
“ITV sets out and upholds very clear policies with regards to raising concerns and work-related conduct amongst our people.”

It comes months after former This Morning host Phillip Schofield quit the ITV programme after admitting to having an “unwise but not illegal” affair with a younger male colleague.
His exit, which happened in May, led to an external inquiry headed by barrister Jane Mulcahy.
Phillip’s longtime co-host Holly Willoughby, 42, sensationally quit This Morning last month after more than a decade on screens.
โI have let ITV know today that after 14 years, I will not be returning to This Morning,” the mother-of-three said in a social media statement.
โTo everyone who has ever worked on the show over the years, thank you so so much. This is such a difficult goodbye, you are incredible and I forever will be proud of what we’ve done together.”
A permanent replacement for Holly is yet to be confirmed by ITV bosses.
This Morning airs on weekdays at 10am on ITV and ITVX.
