BBC Breakfast star braces for huge upheaval after two huge life changes in matter of weeks | The Sun

A BBC Breakfast star is preparing for major chaos after dealing with two huge life changes in a matter of weeks.

Last month, Emma Vardy revealed she was leaving her role as Northern Ireland correspondent to pursue her career in Los Angeles.

The 42-year-old has now announced the big day is fast approaching, with just a "few weeks" left.

The news reporter -who had a son in August – admitted the upheaval was starting to "feel real" on her Instagram Stories on Monday.

Emma shared snaps of her storage boxes, bubble wrap and all her belongings as she got ready to pack everything up for a life in the States.

She captioned the post: "It's packing day!!! Our big USA move happening in just a few weeks' time. Will they let me pop some of this bubble wrap [thinking face emoji]."

Emma said: "Starting to feel real now," followed by a US flag emoji.

And, as if moving countries wasn't stressful enough, Emma has to do it all with a newborn in tow.

"Moving to a new country and having a baby have to be two of the biggest things you can do in life, and we're doing both at once," Emma wrote, along with a cheeky tongue emoji.

During the summer, Emma stepped in to cover part of Nina Warhurst's maternity leave on BBC Breakfast.
