Strictly Come Dancing fans spot feud between Shirley Ballas and co-star
Shirley Ballas reflecting on being considered a ‘harsh’ judge
Strictly Come Dancing fans believe there is a “feud” between Shirley Ballas and celebrity contestant Angela Scanlon.
The head judge of the BBC staple has come under fire in recent years after similar accusations have been made by the public who insists she “hates” one woman every year.
Following Angela’s latest performance with Carlos Gu, several viewers took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to question Shriley’s apparent “vendetta” against the presenter.
@ElayneWkg penned: “Christ Shirley is ridiculous. Angela R made loads of mistakes and gets 9s. Nigel and Angela S get pilloried as usual. Shirley needs to go now. #Strictly.” (sic)
@Evelynsmin wrote: “Shirley HATES Angela. Not a single compliment #Strictly.” (sic)

@ashjpitt fumed: “Leave Angela alone Shirley #Strictly.”
@Evelynsmin added: “Shirley hates Nigel and Angela S #Strictly.”
@notthatpoppy echoed these views, commenting: “Need Shirley to get over her vendetta against Angela rn #Strictly.”
However, some defended the judge, with @jomob7 writing: “I do agree with Shirley though.”
In last week’s Halloween special, Angela and Carlos performed a Paso Doble in hopes of impressing show fans and the judges.

“I thought you set the tone for the evening absolutely fabulously,” Shirley began as she started on a positive note while giving the couple feedback.
However, she went on to add: “When you’re in any position involving your shoulders, just before you move you have to exhale and breathe – that’s the only thing you’re missing.”
The remaining judges Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, and Anton Du Beke delivered similar feedback, but Anton awarded them a score of nine while the other gave an eight.
Last week, Carlos branded feedback from judges “personal”.
Appearing on Wednesday’s spin-off show It Takes Two, host Janette Manrara read out a tweet from a fan of the couple who claims the judges had been “harsh” with Carlos and Angela.
“I know that Craig gave you a little bit of a mention about how he thought you’d run out of ideas at the end of the routine, how do you want to respond to that?” Janette probed.
“Rude,” Carlos replied before swiftly adding: “No, I love you Craig!”
However, he went on: “You know, it’s just personal.”
Express.co.uk has contacted BBC and Shirley’s representatives for a comment on the claims.
Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday at 7.05om on BBC One.
