GMB: Richard talks about Looe Island
Susanna Reid appeared to pull a face on Tuesday’s Good Morning Britain as co-star Richard Madeley interrupted Andi Peters’ report to share a bizarre story.
The ITV presenter, along with entertainment host Richard Arnold and Andi, seemed baffled as Richard began to talk about how Jesus supposedly walked in Cornwall.
It came as Andi appeared via video link from the holiday destination and Richard couldn’t help but interject with a rumoured tale.
Andi was live from the seaside region when he passed back to Richard and Susanna to continue with the latest headlines.
“It’s a bit chilly here today, just thought I’d put that on the record,” Andi added.

“Not just my favourite place, but just hold that shot…” Richard commented.
He continued: “That island we can see on the horizon just over your right shoulder, that’s Looe Island.”
Andi pointed towards the island in the distance as Richard went on: “It’s reported, and there is some historical evidence for this, that Jesus Christ landed on that island.”
Susanna seemed lost for words as she looked around the studio.

Richard added: “With his uncle Joseph when Jesus was allegedly on his uncle’s ship.”
“Really?” asked a baffled Andi as Susanna pulled an uncertain face.
“Yes, his uncle Joe used to trade and lots and lots of ships landed on that island because it was a safe place to do business.
“And they think Jesus might have, as a 15 or 16-year-old, walked on that island.”
After a silent pause, Susanna remarked: “Breaking news here on Good Morning Britain!”
“Better late than never,” Richard stated as Susanna swiftly moved the conversation along.
“Andi, thank you very much indeed. Right…” She remarked.
The presenter seemed confused before moving on to the next report.
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV.
